Machining

We complement our fabrication expertise with a fully capable dedicated machine shop.  Meeting our machining needs in-house means that we are in control our production schedule and not relying on out-sourcing so that we can meet our customer’s delivery needs without excuses. 

We have chosen to keep all our machining needs in-house so that we can control your project’s schedule.  Since we fabricate many shell and tube heat exchangers ranging in size, we have invested in a wide range of computer-controlled drilling equipment to drill/ream/chamfer our  tubesheets and baffles.  We have large capacity boring mills that can turn our tubesheet edges for proper welding preparation or add serrated gasket surfaces for exceptionally large body flanges – up to 16’-6” in diameter!  We also have CNC mills that can machine flat large surfaces or mill pass partition grooves in tubesheets or o-ring gasket surfaces.  Additionally, we have an 84” x 168” waterjet table capable of manufacturing baffles to TEMA tolerances to help augment baffle drilling   Some of our larger machining equipment include the following: 

  • CNC Quickmill Intimidator w/ 120” x 120” travel (138” clear under gantry) capable of drilling tubesheets, milling tubesheet face, edge profile and full milling capabilities 
  • CNC Quickmill w/ 144” x 240” travel (168” clear under gantry) capable of drilling tubesheets, milling tubesheet face and edge profile 
  • CNC Drilling/Milling Centers (up to 120” x 160” capacity w/ single setup) 
  • Boring Mills (up to 60” height x 198” diameter)
